Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate. STRUCTURE® STYLE by Nouryon is a starch-based rheology modifier and film former. It offers excellent thickening and hold in hair styling products. This starch, delivered as a powder, provides the formulator with a new way to create more natural gels, mousses, and styling products. It possesses styling systems with excellent aesthetic properties, giving a smooth & conditioned feel to dry hair and very low residual tack. It can be used as a stand-alone polymer, replacing both traditional fixatives and rheology modifiers with a single ingredient. It can also be used in conjunction with traditional rheology control polymers to create economical and aesthetically pleasing styling products. It features robust performance over a wide pH range and is tolerant to high amounts of mono- and polyvalent salts (up to 15%). In addition to hair styling formulations, STRUCTURE® STYLE polymer is extremely versatile and can be utilized in other personal care applications, such as bath and shower products, conditioners, creams, facial cleansers, gels, lotions, mousses, shampoos, shave preparations, styling aids, sunscreens, and treatments.
