Phenyl Trimethicone. MIRASIL™ PTM by Elkem Silicones is used as a hair gloss agent. This phenyl-modified silicone fluid imparts shine & gloss, softness and better manageability to hair. It reduces tackiness in skin care applications and imparts water-resistant properties to sun care formulations. This ingredient provides an easy-to-spread emolliency, non-greasy feel, and allows natural skin transpiration through soft transparent film. It offers lubricity, light conditioning to hair & skin, detackification, anti-whitening and pigment dispersion benefits. It gives a wide range of compatibility with many emollients, silicones and ingredients. MIRASIL™ PTM is used in hair lotions, moisturizers, anti-aging, facial serums, creams & protection effect, shaving products and deodorants & antiperspirants. It is suitable for make-up, foundations, concealers, and lipsticks. The shelf life of this ingredient is 36 months from its date of manufacturing.
