Bentone Gel® LIP V

Hydrogenated Polyisobutene (and) Disteardimonium Hectorite (and) Propylene Carbonate. Bentone Gel® LIP V by Elementis is non-animal, non-abrasive rheological additive. This grade is organically modified hectorite in non-volatile hydrogenated polyisobutene. It is designed to impart rheological control, predictable, reproducible & stable viscosity control and excellent suspension properties of pigments & actives. It provides thermostable viscosity control of the emulsion’s oil phase, imparts thixotropic flow, enhances aesthetics by masking greasy and tacky components and offers smooth & pleasant silkiness on the skin. It also provides shear-thinning viscosity, controlled alignment of special-effect pigments, emulsion stabilization (w/s) and ensures cost-efficient use of UV filters. It is designed to impart cushion and slip to lip products. Bentone Gel® LIP V is recommended for use in make-up, hair preparations, creams, lotions, antiperspirants, ointment bases and sun care products. Its shelf life is 2 years.
