Disiloxane. Cor-Sil 201-0.65 by Cornelius is a liner and non-reactive hexamethyldisiloxane. It offers excellent spreading ability, hydrophobic and gas permeability. It exhibits low odor and low vapor pressure. It shows an outstanding property profile because of its chemical structure, which sets it apart from organic materials such as mineral oils. It is non-greasy, non-occlusive and non-stinging on skin. It offers easy to rub silky skin feel. It is mainly used in the formulation of personal care products to obtain better combing, conditioning, and smoothness. Cor-Sil 201-0.65 has shelf life of 12 months.
