Propanediol. Elixi-CARE PDO by Connect Chemicals is a high purity solvent, emollient, humectant and anti-microbial agent. It is a carrier for actives in cosmetics and personal care products. Offers excellent sensory profile, higher water absorption, increased smoothness, no tackiness, filming and soft feeling.

It is made from natural glycerol and is an excellent natural alternative to petroleum-based glycols such as propylene, glycol, butylene glycol or methyl-propanediol.
No skin irritation or sensitization occurs even at concentration higher than 70%.
It has a synergistic effect with glycerin, which gives a long-lasting moisturizing effect.
It is an efficient booster especially in phenoxyethanol and benzyl alcohol based formulations against bacteria (both gram positive and negative) and yeasts.
Elixi-CARE PDO is GMO free and produced from 100% renewable sources.
Recommended for fragrances, skin care, hair care, wet wipes, sun care, baby care, makeup and toiletries.
It is RSPO, ISO 16128 registered and ECOCERT & COSMOS approved.
It has a shelf life of 24 months under proper storage conditions.
