Octyl Salicylate. BELGUARD® OS by Belchem Industries is a safe, efficient UV filter and excellent solubilizer for many solid UV filters like EHT, DHHB, octocrylene etc. It prevents skin from sunburn, cell damage & reduce risk of getting cancer. It also prevents skin from harmful UVB radiation. It is used to improve affinity and reduce photodegradation of other sunscreen ingredients. It is effective in the range 290-315 mm. It is ideal for use in sun care, hair care, lip care and skin care products for daily protection. Shelf life of BELGUARD® OS is 24 months.
