DMDM Hydantoin. BELGUARD DMDMH by Belchem Industries is an antimicrobial formaldehyde releaser preservative. It can be particularly effective in detergent based formulations which can have inherent antimicrobial activity but which are susceptible to growth of some type of micro-organisms. It exhibits broad spectrum activity against gram-positive & negative bacteria, yeasts and molds. This grade retains activity in the presence of non-ionic surfactants. BELGUARD DMDMH is used in shampoos, hair conditioners, hair gels, lubricants, creams, lotions, eyeliners, mascaras, baby products, skin care and personal care applications. It can be stored for 1 year from the date of manufacturing.
