PROPYLENE GLYCOL

Propylene glycol is a synthetic alcohol that absorbs water and functions as a humectant in personal care products. It is used in moisturizers and other skin care products as it helps reduce flakiness and restores suppleness of the skin. It is used in other cosmetic formulations including facial cleansers, moisturizers, shampoos and conditioners, fragrances, etc.
