Guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride. SUNCOS-CG 2018D by Sunita Hydrocolloids acts as a lubricant and thickening-, conditioning-, foaming- and softening agent. It is a galactomannan polysaccharide, chemically modified derivative of guar gum, obtained from the ground endosperm of legume cyamopsis tetragonolobus. It is cationic in nature and manufactured by reacting guar gum with a quaternary ammonium compound to obtain guar hydroxypropyl trimonium chloride. It provides lubricity and foam stability. SUNCOS-CG 2018D finds application in formulating cleansing & bathing and hair- & skin care products.
