Silmer® G-162

Cyclopentasiloxane (and) Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer. Silmer® G-162 by Siltech is a high viscosity silicone gel in cyclopentasiloxane. It is used as protective film former and flexible barrier in cosmetics applications. It provides dry, soft and powdery skin feel for face creams, gels and body lotions. The benefits of Silmer® G-162 include a uniform color, powder dispersion and smooth silky feel. It enhances pearlizing effects for lip-glosses and improves water-proofing for foundations, concealers and eye-shadows. It can be stored for 36 months from the date of manufacture. This grade is listed in DSL, EINECS/ELINCS, IECSC, KECI, TCSI, NZIoC and PICCS inventories.
