Petrolatum. MERKUR 773 by Hywax is an emollient, carrier for active ingredients and consistency regulator. It is an ointment-like high grade, homogeneous mixture of high-purity, hydrogenated, predominantly saturated hydrocarbons. It protects skin from dehydration and reduces desiccation. Moreover, it offers excellent oil-binding capacity and contains an antioxidant for stability. MERKUR 773 is used in skin creams, baby care, hair care & hair styling, lip care, lotions, pastes, ointments and base creams. It is suitable for cold rubs and pain release ointments. It meets Ph.Eur., USP, PAH, ICH (CPMP/ICH/283/95) and Cosmetics Europe Recommendation No. 14 (oral & lip care).
