Saliphenesin

Chlorphenesin. Saliphenesin by Salicylates and Chemicals is a preservative with antifungal and antibacterial properties. It is produced by condensing equimolar amounts of p-chlorophenol and glycidol in the presence of a tertiary amine or a quaternary ammonium salt as a catalyst. It exhibits broad spectrum toward yeast and mold.
