Kemsurf OS38

Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate. Kemsurf OS38 by Lankem acts as a foaming agent. It is a mixture of long chain sulphonate salts from the sulphonation of C14-16 alpha olefins. It consists of sodium alkene sulphonate and sodium hydroxyalkane sulphonates. It is more soluble than the dodecylbenzenesulphonates and alky sulphates due to the hydroxy group and the presence of unsaturated links in alkenyl derivatives. It has good chemical stability and can be used in strong acid or alkaline formulations. It gives excellent cleaning and foaming in hard water. It foams well in the presence of sebum and has good foam stability and excellent detergency. Kemsurf OS38 is used for hair shampoos, toiletries and other cosmetic care products.
