Sodium Benzoate. Kalama® Sodium Benzoate N.F./F.C.C. by LANXESS (previously Emerald Kalama Chemical) acts as a preservative. It shows compatibility with other ingredients. It is also most efficient at lower pH values. The inhibitory level of sodium benzoate in emulsions increases with oil content. Kalama® Sodium Benzoate N.F./F.C.C. is used in antimicrobial applications in toothpaste, mouthwashes, gum solutions, dermatological creams and ointments & deodorants. It is available in three forms dense, powder (granular) and EDF™ (extruded).
