Retinyl Sunflowerseedate. Eastman GEM™ Retinyl Sunflowerate by Eastman is a high purity antiaging ingredient for cosmetics and personal care. It is a pro-retinol derivative composed of retinol and sunflower fatty acids (>70% healthy unsaturated fatty acids). This ingredient has been manufactured using Eastman’s EPA award winning GEM™ technology, which applies the 12 Design Principles of Green Chemistry, reducing energy, carbon dioxide emissions, waste, and water usage. Eastman GEM™ Retinyl Sunflowerate is a formulation-stable (better performance than retinol), easy-to-handle, non-irritating antiaging ingredient supplied without any carriers. It has a shelf life of 2 years.
