DOWSIL™ FZ-3196

Caprylyl Methicone. DOWSIL™ FZ-3196 by Dow acts as a carrier, surfactant and co-solubilizer between silicone oil & hydrocarbon oil. It is non-flammable, non-occlusive and provides unique light, soft, smooth & less dry feel. It offers moderate volatility, low viscosity, low surface tension and excellent spreadability. It provides reduction in white residue, shine, improved gloss & color intensity in lipsticks and reduced tackiness or greasy feel of vegetable oils. It exhibits long lasting fragrance retention (up to 24 hr), immediate drying and no burning sensation. It is compatible with wide range of cosmetic ingredients. It is used as a dispersing medium for hydrophobic powders and pigments. DOWSIL™ FZ-3196 finds application in formulating skin care (moisturizers, gels, make-up removers, facial cleansers), sun care, color cosmetics, hair care (leave-on treatments) and antiperspirant & deodorants. It has a shelf life of 24 months. It is Vegan suitable and China compliant.
