Propanediol. Zemea® Propanediol by Covation Bio PDO is a viscosity enhancer and preservative booster. It also functions as an emollient, humectant, hand-feel modifier and solvent.

It exhibits excellent sensory characteristics, enhanced clarity, excellent cloud point and increased foaming.
It offers freeze/ thaw protection and heat stability.
Ideal for cosmetics, skin-, hair- & oral care, deodorants and antiperspirants.
It can replace petroleum-based glycols such as propylene glycol, butylene glycol and glycerin in formulations.
Promotes solubility in cosmetic formulations while reducing skin irritation by replacing petroleum.
It helps incorporate flavors in reduced-alcohol mouthwash and achieves excellent gelling in toothpaste.
Provides enhanced moisturization, stability, aesthetics and durability.
Zemea® Propanediol is certified by Natural Products Association (NPA), Ecocert and considered a derived organic ingredient under the definitions of ISO 16128-1.
