Phenoxyethanol. BIOCROL™ PE by CISME Italy is a preservative agent, mostly used as antimicrobial, germicidal and germistatic in personal care formulations. It is stable in a broad range of pH and is compatible with surfactants & protein derivatives.

It is particularly effective against strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and gram-negative bacteria.
BIOCROL™ PE is normally used in combination with other preservatives to boost overall anti-microbical activity in rinse-off as well as leave-on applications.
