Sclerotium Gum (and) Xanthan Gum. Actigum™ VSX 20 by Cargill is a slightly anionic, readily biodegradable texturizer, rheology modifier and suspending agent. It also acts as a sensory enhancer- and emulsion stabilization aid. It provides enhanced functional benefits such as high yield value, viscosity, sprayability and sensoriality to complex formulas.
  • It is a cold/hot processable, cold soluble biopolymer obtained through a process of aerobic fermentation of sugars with strains of non-GMO Sclerotium rolfsii and Xanthomonas campestris.
  • It offers broad pH stability from low to high pH, and shows compatibility with electrolytes, surfactants, alcohols & preservatives.
  • It imparts very pleasant, shiny, smooth, slightly fresh and light body feeling.
  • Actigum™ VSX 20 is recommended for serums, gels, lotions, BB creams, masks, body washes, toiletries, color cosmetics, skin-, hair- and sun care.
  • It is also used in formulations that require to suspend particles (exfoliating or decorative beads, pigments).
  • It is IECIC listed, Vegan suitable, Ecocert, COSMOS, Halal and Kosher certified.
  • It has a shelf life of 24 months.
