Stearyl Alcohol. Vegarol® 1898 acts as a viscosity modifier, emulsifier, emollient, opacifier, foam booster, refatting- and masking agent. Possesses skin conditioning properties. It functions as an adjuvant for combining non-miscible fluids into an emulsion. The special molecular structure of Vegarol® 1898 emulsifier reduces the surface tension between the hydrophilic and lipophilic constituents, thus promoting the formation of finely dispersed mixtures. Simple to use and gives the products a pleasant, luxurious, creamy appearance with excellent quality and homogeneity. Applications include facial & body care products, massage oils, sprays, hair rinses & masks, sun care, hair care and decorative cosmetics.
