Pentylene Glycol. Pentylene Glycol BIO by Alfa Chemistry is a 100% bio-based, preservative-free, non-GMO, multifunctional humectant and wetting agent. It is made by a patented process from bagasse, a by-product coming from sugar cane which is ethically and responsibly sourced. It is an excellent solubilizer of other ingredients. It increase skin permeability of active ingredients as it penetrates the outermost skin layers.

It prevents the water loss in products and in the skin.
It has effective emollient and lubricant properties and increases spreading properties of emulsions.
Pentylene Glycol BIO is used in skin care, hair care, color cosmetics, and soaps (glycerin soap).
