BELSIL® REG 1103 B

Dimethicone (and) Dimethicone/Vinyltrimethylsiloxysilicate Crosspolymer (and) Caprylyl Dimethicone Ethoxy Glucoside. BELSIL® REG 1103 B by Wacker is a water compatible, secondary emulsifier and thickener. It provides very pleasant sensory & film forming properties and smooth application. It also exhibits shear-thinning behavior and gives a unique skin feel. It allows for formulation of cosmetic products to spread easily during application and facilitates the incorporation of pigments into a formulation. This hydrophilic resin elastomer transparent gel is a silicone copolymer network blended with a non-volatile, low viscosity dimethicone and a silicone polyglucoside. The silicone polyglucoside contained in this blend is a nonionic surfactant with an HLB of approximately 6-7. It allows the gel to be self-emulsifying, take up water, and provide a more hydrated skin feel. It also shows water-break effect: water absorbed during the formulation process is released upon application in the form of tiny droplets, leaving the skin feeling fresh, soft, silky and light. This ingredient conceals contours and wrinkles and improves the water & transfer resistance. The lipsticks stay kissproof for a long time and other types of make-up retain their color and sunscreens provides reliable protection even after swimming. BELSIL® REG 1103 B is used in after-sun products, conditioners, deodorants, eye make-up-, hair care & styling- and lip make-up products. It is also used in foundation, personal-, skin- and sun care applications.
