Origin

The Centella plant's stalks and leaves are macerated in water and propylene glycol for several days to create Centella Asiatica Extract. The material is then drained, compressed, and sterilized before being filtered. Another source claims that the dried raw material (Centella Asiatica) is extracted using either ethanol or a solution of 80% propylene glycol.
