Interview with Livio Bisterzo, COO & Co-founder, The Kyoku Corporation

Kyoku for Men was launched in 2007 by co-founders Livio Bisterzo and Asim Akhtar, whose family has been involved in the beauty industry for half a century. The company offers manufacturing to retail in a vertical brand structure and develops commercially viable concepts and private label brands. Kyoku for Men is a premium men's grooming brand which is sold in major UK department stores and achieved a listing in Boots in April 2012. It is also available in 22 countries in some of the biggest retailers, including Douglas in German, Limoni in Italy and Macy's and Barney's in New York. Early in 2012, the Kyoku Corporation launched a men's sports range endorsed by golfer Sir Nick Faldo. The company is also lining up two celebrity fragrances in the US and is working with two US publishing companies to develop ranges.
