2-Hydroxy-4-ethoxybenzophenone. Acts as a broad spectrum UV filter. It has absorption peak at range of UVB and short-wave UVA. In combination with Sunsafe® OMC, Sunsafe® ES or Sunsafe® MBC, high SPF values can be achieved. Also used as a light stabilizer in cosmetics formulations. Used in skin care, sun care products such as sunscreen lotion, cream oil, etc. Also used in day cream, to prevent premature aging of skin and it is good for protecting lips.
