Cerotyl Dimethicone. Silwax® J226 by Siltech is an alkylated silicone and can be used as a lubricant. It provides gloss and softness to personal care products. The alkyl pendant groups make it more compatible with many organic systems. Silwax® J226 offers excellent lubricity and emollient properties in personal care. It can be used in lipsticks. The shelf life of the product is 36 months when stored in the original, unopened containers between 10 and 40°C.
