Silquat® AD

Silicone Quaternium-8. Silquat® AD by Siltech is 40% active silicone quaternary compound. It provides mild conditioning, softening and manageability to hair, particularly treated hair. It solubilizes in most shampoo formulas without adversely effecting foam or detergent performance, resulting in a clear, 2 in 1 shampoo that will not build up with frequent use. The presence of fatty amido group provides flexibility in formulating with anionic surfactants. Silquat® AD is used in shampoos and body washes for extra softness. It has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture.
