Cellulose Gum. Acts as a thickening agent. It is hydrophilic in nature and gets easily wetted by water. The use of warm water facilitates and accelerates the dispersion. At the higher end of concentration, it functions as an auxiliary emulsifier in oil-in-water emulsion systems. It can be used to formulate creams and lotions, sun- & skin-care products, face-packs, make-up and eye-shadows.
