Salvia Hispanica Seed Oil (100%). Chia Seed Carrier Oil-Extra Virgin by New Directions Aromatics is cold-pressed carrier oil. It has a mild nutty scent. It is a balance of omega 3 and 6 essential fatty acids. It contains powerful antioxidants and phytonutrients and protects skin against the abuse of environmental elements. It helps to prevent signs of aging skin and is considered as an ideal ingredient in moisturizing formulations, as it prevents water-loss by protecting skin's moisture barrier and keeps the skin hydrated. It absorbs into the skin, leaving skin slight oily. It contains palmitic acid (5-8%), stearic acid (1-4%), oleic acid (=6%), linoleic acid (=17%) and linolenic acid (=57%).
