Glycerin (and) Aqua (and) Microcitrus Australasica Fruit Extract. Lime Pearl™ AF by Lucas Meyer Cosmetics (IFF) is a preservative free, ecofriendly, natural exfoliating agent. It is a new generation of AHAs extracted from the caviar lime. It gently improves skin exfoliation with an innovative process through TRPV3 (Transcient Receptor Potential Vanilloid-3) channel. This ingredient offers a smoother, brighter and even skin complexion. It penetrates keratinocytes and creates an intracellular acidification, which activates the TRPV3 channels and leads to an increase of Ca2+ into the cells. The overload of Ca2+ initiates the skin desquamation process. It enhances Ca2+ overload into the cells and potentiates cell desquamation signa. This ingredient results in stimulation of keratinocyte differentiation markers. It is efficient in physiological pH formulas (pH>5) and shows significant long-term exfoliation effectiveness. Lime Pearl™ AF is used in peels & exfoliating-, anti-aging-, smoothing-, radiant-, skin tone evenness/brightening-, day and night skin-, acne-prone-, body- and men care formulations.
