Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate. PMLs containing MAGNESIUM ASCORBYL PHOSPHATE (2%) by Lubrizol is a paraben-free, skin lightening and moisturizing active. It is a specific kind of liposome composed by several concentric bilayers that contain various vesicles. This ingredient shows a significant skin-lightening effect and is very useful in whitening dark skin or areas of dark skin. It can encapsulate large amounts of both hydrophilic and hydrophobic active ingredients. Hence, L-ascorbic acid inhibits tyrosinase, a regulating enzyme responsible for the production of melanin. It also enhances diffusion of the pro-vitamin into the skin. PMLs containing MAGNESIUM ASCORBYL PHOSPHATE (2%) is used in skin care products.
