Aqua (and) Butylene Glycol (and) Cynara Scolymus (Artichoke) Leaf Extract. Biobenefity by Ichimaru Pharcos is a whitening agent. It controls NF-kb activity and guards skin against photoaging and pigmentation. This ingredient prevents melanocyte activator and melanocyte proliferation. It shows improvement of noticeable pores, skin elasticity and inhibition of bFGF production. It inhibits the promoter activity of COX-2 which was induced by the inflammation of ultraviolet rays. This ingredient also inhibits the production of endothelin-1 which could mediate the melanogenesis. It also improves melanin index. It contains cynaropicrin as the active compound. Biobenefity can be used in skin care applications. It is listed in IECIC 2015.
