Linseed oil (Gustav Heess)

Linum Usitatissimum Seed Oil. Linseed oil by Gustav Heess acts as a film former. It is obtained by cold pressing the seeds of flax plant (linum usitatissimum L.). It is rich in oleic, linoleic and linolenic acids. It has strong drying properties and forms solid, transparent films within 24 to 36 hours (auto-oxidation). Linseed oil finds application in formulating exfoliating creams.
