Dimethicone. Gransil 251 by Grant Industries imparts a durable film with good spreading and rub-in characteristics when used in skin and body care formulations. It is a blend of high molecular weight dimethicone gum in a low viscosity (350 cSt) dimethicone fluid, designed to give excellent wet and dry combing, lasting softness as well as shine when used in hair care formulations. Leaves a smooth silky and emollient-like feel when used in sunscreen, lotion, cream and color cosmetic formulations. It contains no volatile silicones. Can be formulated into oil-in-water emulsions, water-in-oil emulsions, and anhydrous systems. Gransil 251 is used in hair care, skin care, body care, sunscreen and color cosmetic formulations.
