Omegablue®

Omegablue® by Givaudan Active Beauty is a cosmetic ingredient for advanced skin repair. It is crafted by a supercritical CO₂ procedure in an upcycled process from the seeds of vaccinum myrtillus berry. It was also developed as a topical soothing agent for sensitive and damaged skin. It reverts skin dryness, irritation and desquamation caused by lipid barrier damage. It contains up to 20% of linoleic acid (omega-6) and a-linolenic acid (omega-3) which improves hydration and skin barrier functionality. It gives an extremely light and silky touch. It effectively calms skin discomfort in a transient or curative way and contains sebum-like essential fatty acids forming a protective barrier from external agents. Omegablue® is used in skin-, personal- and body-care applications.
