Sorbitan Stearate (and) Sorbityl Laurate. Arlacel™ LC by Croda acts as an oil-in-water emulsifier. It is 100% naturally derived self-emulsifying system which creates liquid crystal formulations with unique sensorial properties. It is free from preservative, EDTA, EO/PO and BHT/BHA. It offers emulsion stability through the formation of hydrosomes. It imparts prolonged hydration benefits and a light and silky skin feel. It can also improve water resistance of formulations & is compatible with organic and inorganic sunscreens. It allows incorporation of high levels of ethanol and silicone. Arlacel™ LC is used in body care, facial cleanser, eye color & contour care, lip color and lip care products. Other applications include sun protection, after sun, bath, shower & soaps and face color products. It is a biodegradable grade.
