Polyisobutylene (PIB) by Connect Chemicals is a very versatile, non-toxic antimicrobial, emollient, humectant and viscosity controlling agent. It can increase or decrease the viscosity of cosmetic products. It offers higher gloss in lipstick formulas. It acts as a stabilizer for pigment dispersions. It ensures the cohesion of powder and powder containing cosmetics. It is safe and causes no skin irritation. It also helps in reducing body odors. Polyisobutylene (PIB) is recommended for eye & facial makeup, suntan products as well as skin- hair & oral care formulations. It has a shelf life of 36 months.
