Disodium EDTA (Connect Chemicals)

Disodium EDTA by Connect Chemicals is an organic, palm oil-free sequestering/chelating agent. It contains six functional groups which allows it to form complexes by bonding metal ions (like magnesium, iron and calcium) in a solution and rendering the metal ions inactive. It prevents skin care formulations from deteriorating and protects the integrity of cosmetic products from pH-, odor-, texture and unwanted consistency changes. It offers enhanced foaming and cleaning abilities. It is also used as a strong emulsion stabilizer & preservative booster, enhancing the effectiveness of surfactants and improving the product’s appearance and shelf life. Disodium EDTA is suitable for formulating fragrances, toiletries, makeup, skin-, hair-, sun-, oral and baby care products. It is Halal certified. It has a shelf life of 12 months.
