Homosalate. CHEM HMS by Chemspec Chemicals acts as an oil soluble UV-B filter and anti-aging agent. It absorbs UV-B rays and offers protection & easy incorporation in wide range of products. It also acts as an excellent solubilizer for crystalline UV filters such as butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane or ethyl hexyl triazone. CHEM HMS finds application in formulating sunscreens, hand & face lotions, make-up creams and hair care products. It has a shelf-life of 2 years.
