CRYSOL® K-140 by Charon Pharma Chem is a non-toxic, non-irritant, chemically-derived castor oil that is a non-ionic solubilizer, stabilizer and emulsifying agent. Acts as a masking agent.

It is used as a solubilizer for fat-soluble vitamins, perfumes, essential oils, active ingredients, and major hydrophobic substances like fatty acids, fatty alcohols and mineral oil.
It also improves the solubility of the propellant in aerosol in the aqueous phase.
It is stable, reduces adhesion and chipping properties of oils, and does not turn rancid unless subjected to excessive heat.
It is used as an emulsifier in 0/W cream and lotions and as a stabilizer in skin care.
It improves the moisturizing effect, gives a soft and smooth feeling and imparts transparency and shine.
It impacts the elegant appearance of products such as shaving-, hair styling- and hand wash gel.
It enhances film-forming capacity, flow properties and is used in products such as lipstick.
It can retain its effect for a longer period and can be used for highly volatile products like after-shaving lotion and perfumes.
CRYSOL® K-140 has a shelf life of two years.
