Ruby SS 05/ D&C Red 21 by BK Solutions and Specialities is a solvent soluble coloring agent. It is a dye that changes color depending on the pH. It shows fluorescent reddish orange hue in acetone.

It has a physical appearance of white color and on application it changes to orangish pink.
It is mostly used for lipsticks, lip gloss, cheek tints and decorative cosmetic applications.
