Babassu oil (Atina)

Orbignya Oleifera Seed Oil. Babassu oil (Atina) by Atina acts as a moisturizing agent. It provides moisturizing properties, hydrates the skin and decreases trans-epidermal water loss. It increases skin smoothness, improves the lipid barrier of the skin and enhances the moisture retention mechanism. It contains tocopherol as antioxidant. It is obtained from the cold pressing of kernels extracted by hand from the nuts of Orbingya oleifera. Babassu oil (Atina) is suitable for use in body lotions, balms, creams, body butters, lip-balms, hair conditioners, shampoos and soap bars. It is available as solid at 25°C and melts at 28-30°C.
