RapiThix™ A-60 polymer

Sodium Polyacrylate (and) Hydrogenated Polydecene (and) Trideceth-6. RapiThix™ A-60 polymer by Ashland Specialty Chemical acts rheology modifier and emollient-based dispersant. It is easy to use, shear-tolerant and effective at low use levels. Provides soft & smooth feel, formulation flexibility and high solid content for higher efficiency. It offers no pre-set oil phase, makes oil-free systems possible and produces instant crème gels at room temperature. It is designed for use in cold-mix processes & can be post-added to adjust viscosity after emulsion formation and cooling. It can create a sprayable polyelectrolyte matrix when formulated with linear, high molecular weight cationic or pseudocationic polymers. RapiThix™ A-60 polymer finds application in formulating hair- (emulsifier-free products, hair shine lotions, anti-frizz products, styling creams/lotions, conditioning creams and novel stylers), sun- (after-sun, self-tanning and sunscreen), facial- and body care products.
