CI 77947. Zinc Oxide, USP by Alfa Chemistry is a preservative-free, non-GMO, sensory modifier. It is produced from metallic zinc, which is melted in a graphite crucible and vaporized at high temperatures (around 1000 °C). Its vapor then reacts with the oxygen in the air to give zinc oxide. It is used as coverage for makeup products.

It exhibits a soothing effect, whitening effect and can be used for skin irritations.
Zinc Oxide, USP is recommended for sun care, after-sun products, soothing skin care products, diaper creams, and mineral makeup.
It is the USP grade that reflects sunlight (UVB rays).
