Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine

Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine by Alfa Chemistry is a biodegradable, mild amphoteric surfactant. It is preservative and GMO-free ingredient derived from coconut oil. It reduces the irritation of other surfactants, increases foam and stability in combination with alkyl sulfates, sulfonates and soaps.

• It builds viscosity when combined with anionic surfactants in shampoos and shower gels.
• It has thickening and foam boosting properties and is stable at wide range of pH.
• It is made by reacting sodium bisulfite and epichlorohydrin with fatty acids from coconut oil (mainly lauric acid) to give the sodium salt.
• Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine is used in body washes, bubble baths, hand soaps, baby products, hair conditioners, cream rinses.
