(Alfa) Polyisobutene 1200

Hydrogenated Polyisobutene. Polyisobutene 1200 by Alfa Chemistry is a high-molecular weight, nonpolar, GMO-free, preservative-free emollient. It is produced by low-temperature Friedel-crafts polymerization of dried, desulfurized butylene which is obtained by catalytic cracking of long-chain hydrocarbons. It has excellent moisturizing properties, restores skin suppleness, and prevents water loss.

• It is easily emulsifiable pigment dispersing agent for color cosmetics.
• It enhances SPF retention in sunscreens and shine enhancer for lip care products.
• Polyisobutene 1200 improves spreadability of creams and is non-comedogenic, non-irritant and non-greasy product.
• It is used in hydrating creams, after shave balms, antiperspirants, color cosmetics, creams for blemished and impure skin, hair grooms, sunscreen products, lipsticks, hair relaxers, baby care, cleansing creams and shaving gels.
