Dihydroxyacetone by Alfa Chemistry is a preservative-free, self tanning agent. It reacts with proteins in the skin to produce brown melanoidin-like compounds within 2 hours, creating a tanned appearance. It can be used in combination with erythrulose. Dihydroxyacetone is obtained by bacterial-driven enzymatic degradation of natural glycerin in the presence of sorbitol. Recommended for all kind of self-tanning cosmetic products such as creams, lotions and foundations.
