Coconut Oil, USDA Certified Organic by Alfa Chemistry is an extra virgin (unrefined), cold-pressed, emollient. It is extracted from the meat of the coconut that contains 45-48% lauric acid, 16-18% myristic acid, and 8-10% caprylic/capric acid. Due to its high content of saturated fatty acids, extra virgin organic coconut oil is highly resistant to rancidity. It is added to formulas in the fat phase.
