SpecKare® PO works against the formation of new dandruff, helping the scalp stay clean and itch-free. Within shampoo and conditioning products, Piroctone Olamine has replaced Zinc Pyrithione due to EU regulations prohibiting the latter within cosmetics in late 2021.
SpecKare® PO can also eliminate unpleasant odors effectively, decreasing the sebum output at the skin surface, which makes it suitable for anti-acne applications. It has a wide spectrum of anti-bacterial and anti-fungi properties as well as the action of increasing the shampoo viscosity of the salt thickening system.
