ACNESIUM®, obtained from the pericarps of immature pomegranates (
Punica granatum). This natural active ingredient intended to slight to moderate acne returns sebaceous gland activity to normal and exhibits antimicrobial action against the virulent strain of
C. acnes. SILAFILM® Pureness therefore diffuses in the skin an active ingredient suited to the needs of oily skin prone to acne for immediate and long-lasting efficacy in Caucasian and Asian panels.
After a single application of SILAFILM® Pureness as a face mask, the quantity of sebum is significantly reduced in Caucasian and Asian volunteers. In addition, skin grain is refined, and the skin is intensely hydrated. The volunteers state that their skin seems less shiny, and less oily and that skin dryness is reduced. the reduced quantity of sebum and hydration continue 6 hours after application.
After a prolonged treatment (12 applications spread over 28 days), the quantity of sebum is significantly reduced in Caucasian and Asian volunteers. The abundance of
C. acnes phylotype IA1 decreases, and the number of acne lesions reduces significantly. All these effects are perceived by the volunteers who also observe a decrease in the redness of pimples and the intensity of blackheads.
These cosmetic benefits are complemented by sensory benefits. After prolonged treatment with SILAFILM® Pureness, 79% of the Caucasian volunteers believe that this care product provides the skin with softness and comfort as of the first 6 applications.
Asian volunteers also gave a positive assessment since 88% believe that this
